Cut The Beast

Forget trying to make a loop out of Cut Gate. Just get over it! The IFB give you. Cut the Beast Probably the best trail in the peaks! Now open for the summer.


Time to get Airbourne so here's the info.

Start and finish at a small car park near Hagg Farm on the Snake Pass (SK162886). The IFB aways like breakfast with the Beast :~).

Distance: 47km

Height Ascended 5700 feet

Downhill's 5.

Time: all day.


Take plenty of water it's a long hard day.



At speed.



Feed the Beast.

Ah these halcyon days when The Beast is calm and accepts visitors from afar. But beware, though it smoulders now,
a great rage will be released upon those who venture beyond the time of the next solstice

a monster of a route. rode her yesterday, exactly as prescribed, after a stag-do the night before.

she was almost too much for my soft southern legs - cranberry clough descent is no place for anyone that's too tired to steer. i'm scarred both physically and mentally, and i'll be back soon...
