• Cleaning Bikes

    Sometimes it just has to be done.

    dsc_3951aThat is one grubby bike.  It got worse after getting covered in grit after the recent cold snap. It was weeping a reddy brown goo from it’s very pores.

    Two hours later it’s like a new bike!

    (Although at this point I have to come clean (sorry about the pun – IGMC) – I have fitted a shiny new chain and a very smart front ring.

    All that’s left is a fancy ENO freewheel from White Industries and it’s complete.

    Mmmmn! Nice!

    • Hope you have got the chain on the correct way round.

    • Ha ha!  The number of folk who had no idea what a half link chain is!
      Like I said – I thought STW was a niche forum.
      Even SFB didn’t know.  Eventually I got the response that the ‘wide’ end pulls the ‘narrow’ end.
      I think it looks pretty smart!

    • You have to watch out for the big kids in the playground – they beat you up!
