This night-riding malarky is all very well, but there is one fundamental problem – you can’t see where you’re going. Or rather, you can’t see where you’re standing. And there’s a fundamental problem with riding sheep-trails – sheep. Or rather, sheep-dags. These two problems combine to provide the wonderful dag-on-foot experience. Dag is renowned for it’s almost glue-like consistency but this diminishes as it dries. As the moisture evaporates the dag has a tendency to drop off the sole of the shoe. Consequently I would like to apologize to the cleaner at work for leaving a trail of dag along the corridor as I left work this afternoon.
Can we find a dag-free zone for the next ride Martin?

Badger trails are all the rage in delamere and a lot cleaner. It could have something to do with their short legs.

Not just dag on shoes – I’ve got an unpleasant green dag mark on my new top as well!
You don’t have that problem with those cheeky chappies!

Sheep-dags are not very tasty either when they land on your tongue after launching from the front tyre.
